Beloved in Christ,
For He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:11 ESV)
Having arrived safely to Cedarburg, Wisconsin, I rejoice in God’s protection and care. (it’s always a fun drive.) Tomorrow I fly to Washington D.C. to attend the LCMS Life Conference, which includes the National March For Life. Praise be to God for all who STAND for life. Does it not make you weep to think that almost 3,000 babies are aborted each day in our country? Those little ones conceived are not just flesh and blood but have a human soul. And Jesus Christ died for them too–to redeem them from sin and death. God is FOR LIFE–and the fullness of that truth is rooted not only in His work of creation–but humanity’s restoration with God through the Christ who suffered, died, and rose again–that all who believe in Him would have His forgiveness and then LIVE FOREVER. That’s what it means to truly live, and it’s all a GIFT from God.
Pray for the unborn. Pray for mothers and fathers. Pray that they would uphold God’s gift of life. Pray for the spread of the Gospel that alone transforms the sinful heart.
The Lord of Life strengthen our witness FOR LIFE.
