Beloved in Christ,
We celebrate the Sanctity of Human Life this Sunday. And as we do so, we will connect discipleship to the whole gamut of life given by God—the blessing of human physical life—beginning at conception, but then also the new life in Christ that begins with the water and Word of Holy Baptism. Christ has redeemed us—paid for our sins—to give us life eternal. That life was given to us in our baptism, and it is kept in us by Christ’s Word and Supper.
Jesus wants this new and eternal life for all people, and that includes the unborn little ones. He says: “Follow Me.” And we, His disciples, follow. But we also point others to Jesus as the One in whom we live—the One in whom they too can/shall live. Directing others to behold Jesus, that He died and rose for all people, to include the unborn, so then, we STAND FOR LIFE. Joyfully!
